Hyperstimulated Ovaries While Pregnant

Many women resort to taking some type of fertilization treatment if she and her husband are having problems conceiving. However, many women should be aware of Hyperstimluated ovaries while pregnant. There is an illness called Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome or OHSS where a woman's ovaries will become over stimulated. Many doctors can remove fluid from the ovaries that will reduce the stimulation but a woman should be aware of what to do if she suffers from any type of hyperstimulated ovaries while pregnant.

The first are the mild causes of having hyperstimulated ovaries while pregnant where a woman will feel bloated, actually gain weight, and experience nausea and diarrhea. Doctors believe this happens because there is a higher level of female hormones (estrogen 2 and progesterone) in the body and the ovaries become much more tender because of their enlarged size. To reduce and cure these symptoms it is suggested that you keep hydrated, reduce physical activities and to avoid sexual intercourse.

Other women may have moderate symptoms of hyperstimulated ovaries while pregnant. These symptoms include excessive weight gain, experiencing diarrhea and vomiting, thirsty, less frequent urination and it is darker in color, increased abdominal inflammation and bloating and dryness of the hair and skin. Once again the reasons why these symptoms may occur is due to the female hormones and fluids being stored in the abdomen which causes the bloating while also dehydrates the rest of the body. In this case you will need to see a physician and monitor your weight gain and the number of times that you urinate per day.

Women who suffer from severe symptoms hyperstimulated ovaries while pregnant must see a physician immediately. You will know if you have severe symptoms of hyperstimulated ovaries while pregnant when you feel bloated, virtually do not urinate at all, have shortness of breath and pains in your calf muscles and in your chest with the above mentioned types of mild and moderate symptoms. This is caused by having very large ovaries, the storage of water in the abdomen and in the lungs causing the shortness of breath and you will have a higher probability of having a blood clot.
