Declare Peace
Let strife and envy cease
No need to test the fleece
Experience divine release
Let your soul rest and feast
Be through with rotten war
Life offers us so much more
Don't try to even the score
We've all be abused and torn
Broken, hurt, and forlorn
Nevertheless in love and peace
In these marvelous emotions
We were conceived and born
Why than shall we not mourn
Over injustice and futile killing
Our precious blood we're spilling
What about war is so inviting?
What about war is so exciting?
Losing life, limb, face, and skin
When we in anger furiously fight
Nobody ever does happily win
Sure those in charge of war
Project some political spin
Push fear and do demonize
The evil enemy galvanize
Incessantly think to terrorize
Until their wealth we materialize
Any alternative differing opinions
We reject, ridicule, and despise
Because the precious spoils of war
Provide us profitability and prize
Territorial control, once it is stole
Oil rights and unlimited access
Occupation of lands we possess
Water rights and strategic position
Locational navigational leverage
Control of crucial border passage
For these things we tirelessly war
Fill the earth with gruesome horror
With such despondency we do bore
Neither do we ask the media for more
Though our political leaders are sure
That with it they can be get elected
Apparently historically it's effective
To nastily numb and mesmerize voters
With the vitality of homeland security
The continual possibility and probability
Of war is a dire dooming certainty
Though it be engineered by sly men
Absolutely unnecessary, an absurdity
Let us, we the people, arise and awake
Declare peace and our countries take
Take back from lying evil doers leading
Selling propaganda and fear feeding
Revoke their rhetorical sham and lease
Speak the truth and the people release
Stop contributing to their political parties
Stop embracing their destructive policies
Get right with the holy Prince of peace
Take back your personal power please
We the people hold freedom's keys.
