United Nations
A beautiful concept indeed
Because of strife and division
People throughout nations bleed
Forgetting the poor and their needs
Domineering, oppressive regimes
Looking to expand themselves outwardly
Pushing freedom propaganda domestically
While operating elsewhere clandestinely
Communism, socialism, humanism
Not every ism is a light-giving prism
Often such ideologies grossly imprison
Pride, profiteering, and pontificating
Self-righteous, indifferent democratizing
That is our version of democracy demanding
Anything but not permitting nor tolerating
Our way or the mighty military highway
Whatever is necessary to get our way
International accords and treaties broken
Arrogant, defiant, and unkind words spoken
This is just a small, significant, notable token
Of the divine covenant of dependence broken
Between the USA and their Creator, God above
They've forgotten their heritage and the Lord of love
The United States is no longer deeply united
Spiritually and politically within they are divided
The hammer of the whole earth has now decided
To forget God and try to throw her weight around
No longer under God, in her His voice is not found
From greedy corporation nation no love shall abound
Unbeknownst to her, she's sadly lost the liberating sound
By reason of her pride, she'll come crashing down
To the American way it's time to say nay
Church of the living God, it's time to pray!
That God's kingdom would come
On earth and His will would be done
As it is in God the Father's heart in heaven.
Awake and realize not all things are as they seem
Those appearing good can be ill motivated and mean.
For the USA and Europe have deadly leaven
Fermenting and expanding throughout the world
Their imperial and colonial agendas are froward
For peace to come on earth, we must go Godward
Failed foreign policy and diplomacy brings frustration
Christ our Lord alone can rule and govern the nations
Perfect, order, establish, and bring divine release
Reconcile and bring nations together to celebrate and feast
From the largest to the smallest, the greatest to the least
This is why they call Jesus, Immanuel, the Prince of peace.
