Choosing The Perfect Wedding Favor

When you choose your wedding favors you should try to choose something that will reflect your personality as well as enhance the theme and overall feeling of the wedding. Remember you don't have to break the bank with your favors. The overall goal of wedding favors is to allow each guest to take something home from the wedding that will later remind them of your special day. So now you have to decide if you want something elegant and sophisticated, or perhaps something a bit more whimsical. Maybe your personality would be to stick with something a little more traditional and practical. Below are some ideas to fit almost every bride's personality.

If you are going for a more elegant and sophisticated theme consider something made of silver or glass. Items such as spoons, letter openers, bottle openers, mini picture frames, coasters, or bottle stoppers can all be found in silver or glass and can be really great favors.

If you want something a bit more whimsical consider candles in unique holders. For a beach theme you can fill holders with sand or shells. You can offer colored candles that follow the colors of the wedding or scented candles that match the ones you burn at the wedding. Shot classes or small packages of the bride and groom's favorite coffee or tea are also nice. If the bride or groom is a chef you could choose a whisk with a card attached that reads "Whisked Away" or maybe a butter spreader that says "Spread the Love". Golf balls, money clips, or plants can also reflect the couple's personality. For a whimsical favor, try to choose something that is significant to the bride and groom and shares a story of their history together.

If you prefer a more traditional approach maybe try something that is practical. Chocolate, cookies, or a favorite candy can be good. Keychains, scented sachets, or a photo of the couple are also very guest friendly favors.

In order to find the perfect wedding favor, all you have to do is ask yourself what you want the guest to understand about you and your personality. From there it's as easy as ordering your favor and moving on to the next thing on your to-do list.
