Are you like the majority of people? People who set out to Have the things like more time, more money so that they can Do the things they want like improve their lives and finally Be the successful person they want to be.

The bad news is that this rarely succeeds - by doing things this way round you end up endlessly running round in circles, working harder to make more money, trying to acquire the things you want. However your life ends up out of balance, you constantly worry about loosing it all and somehow you never get to where you want to go. The better relationships, the time in the sun just never materialise.

The good news is that there is a better way, the true key to success, a formula that was pointed out by Richard Kyosaki in "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" series of books. But it involves the counter intuitive leap of first Being then Doing and finally Having.

How does this success principle work? Be the person you need to be so that you will… Do the things that you need to do in order to… Have the results you want to get.

Like all keys to life success this principle appears very simple but is in fact very powerful.

In order to have significantly different results in your life you are going to need to do things differently to the way you are doing them now. Quite often you are going to have to make both a lot of changes and some very profound changes to deeply ingrained habits of thought.

Profound changes like that will need you to become a different person and grow from within - and it is this growth that is the key to success. You will need to first find out the kind of person you will need to be in order to get the results you want.

Once you know who you need to be you will have to look at who you currently are - what are the areas where you will need to change. Then you will need to learn as much as you can about the new knowledge, skills and beliefs that you will need to acquire, practise, absorb and finally internalise everything you can about the area of you that you need to change.

The process of growth from within can be a slow process and often does not produce immediate results, however over time, with persistence you can make the changes you need to in order to get the results you want.

Some practical steps you can take

So look at who you are and ask yourself "Am I the person who will get the results that I want to have?"

If the answer is "Yes" then you will achieve life success without making any more changes.

However, if the answer is "No" there are some things that you are going to have to change. By adopting the "Be Do Have" success principle you can eventually achieve the results that you want.
