Do these quotes ring true of you?

'I am scared to go against the crowd.'

'I am scared to be the best me.' 'I am scared people will not like me.'

'I am scared of my own power.'

Or are you a risk taker?

Risking takes us out of our comfort zone and into a learning or growing zone.

Imagine a circle with you in the centre, this is your comfort zone, feels safe and secure, but if we remain in that zone for too long we can stagnate.

The outer boundary of this circle is what can be termed our cutting edge or growing edge. When we take a risk we break through comfort zone boundary and into the learning zone.

This is the zone that can feel threatening, it is an unknown area and we develop a feeling of temporary insecurity. By being able to tolerate this feeling of insecurity we eventually develop new knowledge and skills leading to an increase in our personal growth. We have expanded our comfort zone.

Liken it to a child riding a bicycle. Everyday the child practices and becomes less afraid until eventually they ride the bike without a parent holding it up or without the trainer wheels. The child is no longer experiencing insecurity, but is feeling excitement, they have crossed the barrier and extended their comfort zone.

To move on through your pathway to wealth you need to take risks as others have. We all need to take risk in our behavior. That is what we say and what we can do.

We need to take a risk in our thoughts simply by thinking new thoughts. We need to take risk in our imagination by imaging new pictures.

Just implementing these three changes can make you uncomfortable.

If you are not happy with where you are now and your are not getting what you want then you have to change your behaviors, you have to take risks.

Fear is the main block in risk taking, fear of making mistakes, of losing friends, of getting hurt, of losing our identity and mostly fear of the unknown. Susan Jeffers, in her book, encourages us to "Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway!"

Remember for things to change we have to change, get out there take some risks and experience the change.
