Are Telemarketer's Disciplined Enough to Work From Home?

As a telemarketer, you probably on occasion work from home either as a freelancer or for a company. Whichever the case, you'll need to discipline your self to work effectively to achieve the most out of your day. Working from home may not be good idea for most telemarketer's. It really takes a very specific kind of personality to do it. A feeling of isolation is one of the biggest factors why so many telemarketers' continue to feel out of touch with what's happening in the sales world.

Most continue use out of date sales skills that died with the dinosaurs years ago.

It can sometimes be very difficult to separate work from pleasure and one of the biggest drawback is the perception of being at work 24/7 Each evening spend that extra time going through your tasks for the following day. This will help you manage your time more effectively.

Here are a 8 disciplines tips to consider when working from home?

1. Try to maintain a set schedule for when you start working and when you stop working I.e. 9-6.30pm.

2. Keep your work phone and home phone separate (this is very important so if clients phone in you can answer the phone correctly)

3. Set yourself achievable goals and really work towards them.

4. Maintain the same working hours as you would if you are going to an office. I.e. The same way you would before you go to work

5. Keep your work and living areas Separate. That includes work computer and recreational computer.

6. Keep your office space somewhere that is completely dedicated to your work with minimum interruption

7. Keep organized.

8. When working from home, most people tend to work long hours which can sometimes lead to anxiety, stress and de-motivation. To avoid this, have 10 minutes break at regular interval.
