Furthermore, smokers are aware of the financial impact smoking has on their wallets.
Then why do millions of people still smoke?
The answer is nicotine. Nicotine is the addictive drug in tobacco, and like any drugs, regular use of tobacco leads to addiction. With addiction, it feeds on the persons needs for physical and psychological dependence on the drug.
That is why smokers mentally believe smoking helps them relax and give them that satisfaction, a quick fix.
Therefore, for most smokers there is no easy way to quit smoking.
It is that psychological or emotional attachment smokers have with smoking.
If you are a smoker looking to quit now, think of the best approach, or your own easy way to quit smoking.
Here's one form of an easy way to quit smoking (if any)-
1) Motivate yourself by looking at the anecdotal evidence of the health effects of smoking. The harmful effects of smoking are great reasons to stop smoking.
2) Make an honest review of all the likes and dislikes from smoking, and how it effects your life, work, family, etc.
Devote an effort to question yourself on each positive impact smoking has on your life. Does it really fulfill your long term need?
Review the list over time, and make any necessary changes to the positive and negative impacts.
As well, invite family and friends to share their thoughts and give negative feedback about your smoking habit.
3) Write all the reasons to quit.
4) Make a detailed list of why there is no easy way to quit smoking.
You have to motivate and prepare yourself for what is required of you to quit, and that there is no easy way to quit smoking.
The more you list out and anticipate the obstacles of quitting smoking, and their solutions, the higher your chances of success. For example, 'smoking helps me to relax during stressful periods'. A solution would be to visit the gym or pursue a leisure activity you personally enjoy.
This will give you an easy way to quit smoking.
5) Set a quit date!
Once you combat the validity to quit smoking, then it is now or never.
If you really desire an easy way to quit smoking, then you must overcome your psychological and physical needs of smoking. Start listing all the effects smoking has on your life, question it and focus on beating the addictive habit.
