Biomechanics is all about applying mechanical principles, and in golf there are many mechanical principles that have to be perfected or at least practices repetitively to get results that you want.

Let's talk about the swinging of the golf club. Just in this alone lie so many fundementals things that if one of them goes wrong could result in many different outcomes. For example, slicing, hitting line drives, popping up the ball, hitting the ball to much left or right of the target or just missing the ball completely. Now with all that can go wrong that simply means that a lot of things have to go right in your swing to get the desired results, why do you think this is one of the hardest sports to play.

Ok so now lets go more into detail. I think of the three most important concepts as being grip, aim, and set up. Grip simply implies how one is holding the golf club. There is not one precise way to hold it, to a certain degree I mean, but some has to do with whether you feel comfortable or not gripping it a certain way. For the most part people hold the clubs similarly.

Secondly is the aim. Well I think this is pretty self--explanatory, basically you need to have an idea where you want the ball to go and then the set up and swing through decides how successful you are. The set up to me starts with the arms because you are not just picking up the club to start out are sing your arms to draw it back. The back swing should be very smooth and make sure not over swinging at the top and then bringing the club smoothly through the downward motion. As you come through the zone and up to the finish you have to keep you head still, focusing on the ball as you make contact.

These are just a few important tips there is so much more to creating a good swing but lets face it I could go on for hours about that
