Never Retreat From The Brink Of Your Greatness

Clients frequently experience a major crisis immediately or soon after committing to their greatness. It is almost predictable. Even the clients who seem to have absolutely cleared all internal and external obstacles from their lives may "choke" on the brink of their greatness. As Marianne Williamson said, "Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond measure . . ."

This is so true. Many fears come up: "Can I really pull this off?", "Who am I to think I can do this?", or "Will I turn into a workaholic and lose my friends and loved ones?" or "Will people envy me and reject me for my success?" These are all unsettling but common issues. None of these fears are destined to be realized--unless we allow them to be--as a form of self sabotage.

Are you ready for "prime time"? Here are some things to think about.

1.) Have you done the inner work needed to be completely free of the past? This is the single biggest obstacle to success for most clients. Without having handled childhood issues, you may find yourself projecting "old stuff" onto new situations. You may find yourself suddenly fear-driven and no longer taking right actions for the results you want. You may experience sudden and unexpected loss of self confidence due to negative self talk. Deal with all these things immediately and get right back on your path.

2.) Realize that the "appearance" of crises and horrible things happening may likely be simply the work of your subconscious "outpicturing" your deepest fears to keep you in the safety of the known. A great way to deal with this is to reject the agitated, fearful, even terrified energy that comes up. Move into your Higher Mind or Higher Self, and observe rather than absorb. Look at the situation from the stillness that is available to you there.

3.) If you meditate or have a spiritual practice, turn to it. This will keep you in a calm state, and connected to Higher Source and able to receive the clearest ideas and thought possible.

4.) Don't' be easily willing to toss all your plans aside and go back to hiding your gifts. This is a temptation that all humans on the brink of their greatness experience. In fact, you may have this temptation fairly regularly. It may come up every time you hit a challenge or have disappointments on your path. It's all part of the process. It's a totally normal and predictable occurrence. Quitting your life work and "getting a job' is not a solution. It is a choice for "soul death". The real solution is to keep on going, work through the disappointment, and do what it takes to create the desired results.

5.) Sometimes these soul challenging times are best assuaged by taking some relaxing, fun time to connect with loved ones. Be sure and avoid "substances" for fun--as these will prevent the true relaxation that works to refresh you and gird you to get back on your path.

6.) Take some quiet time to go back to your plans and strategies. Rethink your approach. Tweak your action plans. Come up with fresh ideas. Refocus your efforts and get absolute clarity on the priorities to pursue.

Never retreat from the brink of your greatness. If there were ever a time in the history of the world when it is critical for each of us to stand up and be what we can be--this is it. Choose to be all that you can be and evolve into your highest soul expression. Don't let the appearance of a brink stop you.
