Every one in the world knows that sports are extremely difficult especially to play at the collegiate or pro levels. If it were easy to do trust me everyone would, I mean come one look what these guys and girls are making these days to do what they love and to just entertain audiences. However, if there is one aspect of playing sports that gets to a lot of people it is the mentally draining challenge of the golf swing. Being able to replicate this over and over is almost impossible and extremely difficult.

When it comes to the physical mechanics of the golf swing like grip, follow through, and things like club head angles, these are all intangibles that a golf instructor or pro can teach you. However the mental part of it lies within oneself. Everyone deals with it in a different mannerism. Some get flustered, frustrated, some are confused and some don't let it bother them at all, however this is the rarest one. Even the best get frustrated but it is how you deal with it before making your next shot that is important. Many have tried to determine how long it takes for one to forget about the previous shot, for me I don't think you ever stop thinking abut it unless you want to, you need to have a desire to get better and the only way this is possible is to forget about the negatives of a bad swing and think of the positives of them. You are probably saying right now what is this guy talking about. What I mean is if you never make a bad swing or if you never make a mistake you will never be able to correct it. So if you have a bad approach think about what you may have done wrong. If you have no idea then just totally forget about that swing, take a deep breath and try again.

This is one reason in previous articles I have talked about videotaping your swing that way if you do have a poor go at it, then you can see over and over what you did wrong. Now saying that I understand you cannot videotape every swing, but know this, the true great ones analyze poor approaches and turn them into lessons learned and have an unbelievable way of calming themselves and forgetting before the following shot.
