Network marketing is an incredible industry. It is the only one I can think of that enables people from various backgrounds to get the same opportunity. It?s also the only industry I can think of that can position you to have time and money freedom together. Most industries nowadays, can usually only provide you with either time or money? but not both. In addition, with the declining economy, it is empowering to know that you have some control over your finances by building your own home business.

With that said, because most network marketers come from an employee background, they?re not as effective as they can be because they?ve never had to manage their time before. Whether you are a full-time or part-time network marketer, it is important that you learn how to be productive with your time. How important is time management? A better question to ask is probably, how fast do you want to hit your goals?Think about it: If you become 25% more effective with your time, it just makes sense that you would hit your goals in 25% less time.What if you became 30% more productive? What about 50% more productive?Why delay the time it will take to achieve your goals, when you can achieve them in half the time by becoming much more productive?

In this article, I?ll go into 3 tips you can use to becoming more productive with your time:

1. Be extremely clear about what you want - I heard a long time ago, that you can not hit a target that didn't exist. Definiteness of purpose and clarity are two of the most important concepts to becoming very productive. Brian Tracy says, ?The number one reason why some people get more work done faster is because they are absolutely clear about their goals and objectives and they don?t deviate them.? The more clear you are about what you want, the easier it is to overcome procrastination, which is the enemy of productivity.

2. Plan every day in advance - It?s been said that your mind and your ability to think and plan are the most powerful tools for overcoming procrastination and increasing productivity. Read any book on time management, and they all same the same thing; ?One minute spent in planning saves almost 10 minutes in execution.? Personally for me, I always list down the six most important tasks I need to accomplish the day before. And when I wake up, I don?t waste any time thinking about what I have to do, or stressing about something I may have forgot. I simply attack my To Do list and knock stuff out one-by-one.

3. Apply some healthy pressure on yourself ? At some point, you have probably spent a whole day cleaning your house. However, have you ever recieved a phone call from a friend saying they were in the area and coming by in an hour?Miraculously, in one hour, you cleaned your house to the point that it was presentable and had time to put on a fresh pot of coffee.How can that be? How did you accomplish in one hour what it normally would take you a couple of hours to do? It was pressure. Network marketers call it a ?Sense Of Urgency?. The most successful people, in and out of network marketing, have this sense of urgency. Obvisouly, this does not necessarily mean you need to work every second of every minute. But it does mean that when you work, be productvie.

So many people think that to do well in this industry you have to be a workaholic. And in all honesty, there is a short period of time when you need to be in that zone. But, that does not mean that in order to have success that you have to neglect everything else in your life. Just make sure that when you?re working your business, you?re 100% there mentally and that you?re being as productive as you can possibly be.
