Every body that knows something about golfing knows they will take whatever they can get to help build a little confidence out there on the golf course considering there is so much that can go wrong to put you in a frustrated state of mind. I mean hitting one bad shot could just be the beginning of a bad round of golf, leaving you some restless nights of sleep, well that is if you are competitive like me.

So what better way to get yourself back on track then hitting a great put shot, which are hard enough in themselves. What I am getting at in this brief article is the importance of making something happen, even if other parts of your game are not going the way you want them to. Sometimes your mechanics may be a little off one day, or maybe your state of mind is just not helping you. Well on those days I try extra hard to focus on my putting game. For me anyways this is a skill I practice the least, which is not a good thing by any means however I enjoy working more on other aspects of my game more so.

For days in which this happens to me I try to focus on one part of my game just because I know I am having an off day and I cant possible correct all parts of my game in a couple holes. So whether it is my putting game or something else I try and focus all my attention on that and sometimes I even reap the benefit of getting back on track because I am not constantly thinking about hitting another poor drive or fairway shot. Well this helps me maybe it will help some of you.
