Christmas Time Shopping is a commercial connotation but if one takes the time to consider, it could be a welcome respite for enlightenment and happiness.

As youngsters we all had a glow in our eye and wonderment in our heart as the bright twinkling lights began to flicker and shine so bright at Christmas time. The world, it seemed, was wrapped in tinsel and glitter, with the fervent breathless hope that ole Saint Nicholas had us on his list. There was holly, mistletoe and jam cake which grandma would bake, visions of snowflakes and clear tinkling silver bells. The frosty nip in the air brought a skip in our walk and excitement in our talk.

Big brothers, big sisters and cousins were all around. It was as if the land was becoming a fairyland with bright colored leaves blowing in the gentle breezes. Smoke curling from the chimneys was so serene while in the high skies, laden with soft snow, our wish was to see it all fall below. Musn't forget to say hello to all on the street, who we meet, for some you see, Christmas may not be so sweet.

The wonderful movies made long ago again suddenly appear to bring joy to our eyes and ears. One very memorable story so often told Christmas eve night,"Twas The Night Before Christmas When All Through The House"--is still a toddler's delight. Far across the meadows laden with white snow and deep into many foreign lands, we know our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines stand solid as the rock of ages keeping our land free.

Our Christmas shopping is a gift given through an almost endless time and something for which often we may take for granted. This freedom throughout our Nation is a gift of a Divine Giver. Receive it freely and remember Christmas is a Holy gift. No Shopping required. Just accept and share this Christmas with Love. IT HAS BEEN PAID FOR IN FULL.
