An Internet Nightmare

HI there, I have been on the internet for close to ten years now and have seen a lot come and go. I joined the internet way back when ISP access was enormously expensive with only a dial up connection, but loved it just the same. At first the internet was a fun place to be, but as the years rolled by it got less and less friendly. We used to have a system called email until the spammers found it was useful, and the email system fell into disrepair. There was a lot to be aware of, viruses, porn sites and how to keep the children from accessing them. There were hundreds of chat programs life was just a ball if you kept yourself safe.

However as the years moved on, people found that the internet was a good place to make money with an online business. This was a great thing for those that got started early, many of them made huge amounts of money. The goods most people sold were traditional products, the same as you could buy in most shops off the internet. Then along came the digital products, software, e-books etc, now everybody could be a publisher in no time at all, wonderful. This however started the nightmare I am referring too.

Internet marketers soon discovered that they could offer all sorts of products that took so very few hours to make and setup. Profit margins was very high, and might I say still are. However for those that are thinking about starting an online business be warned, if you think spam is bad, wait until you start your business. As soon as you go looking for ideas on how to get started and what you will sell, you will be deluged with more offers that you would think ever existed. A lot of these offers are very sound and very profitable, but a great deal more are just rubbish. You will in time if you have not already, come across the E-book, the book you can read on your computer. This is a fantastic product from the point of view of making and publishing.

However be warned there are good and very bad E-books out there. Some internet marketers even off a lot of free E-books with each sign up or sale. People like receiving something for nothing and this is exploited to the max by the marketers. Heaps of these books come in what is known as a PDF files and need acrobat reader to view them, but that's ok because we all have it or can download it free. This is what I call the nightmare; at last count I had Twelve hundred PDF files on my hard drive, all E-Books. I of course have other E-books that are exe files (program files). Now the nightmare begins, what do I read, where do I start, how do I tell a good idea from a bad one. There are literally thousands of different ideas for making money, many of them very viable. I must belong to a dozen news letters; many of them just glorified sales vehicles.

I think a person would make a killing with an E-book about internet marketing jargon. When you have been on the internet as long as I have you learn them all I think. You have your opt-in list, your opt-out list, advertising banners, buttons, sales pages, Thank you pages, Click bank, Pay pal, and many others. Stay here long enough and you also will learn them or at least hear about them. Yes there is good money to be made on the internet if you are prepared to sort the wheat from the chaff. The internet nightmare does not have to get hold of you if you are very careful. My advice to anyone thinking of starting an online business or for that matter just reading, is this. Try to find a good product to sell without downloading hundreds of E-books. Only join the news letters you think will help you in your endeavour.

Listen to lots of offers and look at them hard, believe only a fraction of what you read and hear. Use common sense when reading anything on the internet. There is a lot of rubbish out there, even this article, some people will brand as rubbish. If it appeals to you psyche it may well be a gem to follow. There are gems out there just waiting for you to find them. Many thanks for you eyes and ears. Take care and stay safe.
