Simplicity vacuum cleaners are among the most robust and powerful machines on the market. They're made in Missouri and have more metal fittings than most other machines. Its vacuum cleaners get high ratings in vacuum cleaner reviews but to be sure you'll be happy with your purchase, it's important you select the model that works best for you.

What type of vacuum cleaner do you generally prefer, upright or canister? If you've always used a canister and are happy with this type of vacuum, then buy a canister. Likewise, buy an upright if you're used to this type.

However, canister and upright vacuum cleaners have their advantages and disadvantages. Canisters are easier to use if you find it difficult in maneuvering heavy appliances. You only push around a lightweight head and it's generally far easier to pull the canister along than it is to push around an upright. But, if you literally get a pain in the back from bending down you might be more comfortable in using an upright as they are taller and you generally stand more upright when using them.

The Simplicity upright vacuum cleaner range includes the following models; Freedom, 7 Series, Symmetry, Synchrony and Synergy. The Freedom is a lightweight appliance weighing only 8lbs. Its lightness is because it doesn't have a plastic casing but uses a canvas-type bag to house the dust bag - its design is similar to that of the Oreck vacuum cleaner. As you might expect with such a lightweight vacuum, the motor is small - only 5.5 amps. You don't get any onboard tools either. It's ideal for those who like uprights and want one that is light, easy to use and whose floor area is small.

The other uprights from Simplicity offer large motors and great suction power. The Synchrony and Synergy models come with a Tandem Air System. Each has 2 motors. The high-flow direct motor sucks dirt in at the head of the vacuum and another high-flow clean air motors works synchronously to provide suction for the onboard tools and to provide a highly efficient filtration system.

Many, and I'm one of them, prefer the ease of use of a canister. It's easier to push around a lightweight brush and drag the motor behind you. There are several Simplicity canister vacuum cleaner models to choose from. Basically they range in size and price starting at the subcompact (Jill) model up to the full-size S36 and S38 models. The Jill is very light but comes with quite a large motor - 9.5 amps. It's ideal for small areas and hard flooring. However, for all sizes and floor type the S36 and S38 are the ones to go for. Both come with 12 amp motors, onboard tools, metallic wands and 100% sealed HEPA filters.

Choosing the right model is the key to being satisfied with your purchase. So, list your requirements, fix your budget and compare the Simplicity vacuum cleaner to other brands like the Oreck vacuum cleaner and read some vacuum cleaner reviews. That way you'll stand a far better chance of being happy with your new vacuum.
