Discover the One Secret That Golf Pros Do - That You Don't
This is distressing! All that great information and not one ioda of it is processed. Too many things to think about? Feel too tight? Grip is not comfortable? Stance to wide? Stance too narrow? Chin to low or too high. Swing is too slow. Bad balance. Weight shift is too hard to do? Lifting your head. Hitting it thin. Hitting it fat? Oh My!
Makes it difficult to focus on the one thing that a golfer should do that will create that magical hit. That perfect trajectory. It's not so much that it is hard to do. It has more to do with instructors not having the knowledge of what it is in the first place. It is really a simple thing. And it is a well kept secret.
Some of the best players in the world don't know this secret. Yet they do it with perfect regularity.
If you knew the secret you wouldn't need another lesson, would you!
If your pro knew the secret would he tell you? If he even knew what it was? Would he?
What do you think it is? Ben Hogan's magic move? Maybe. Is it the right elbow to the right side? Maybe! Or do you think that it is the weight shift and it works from the ground up? Perhaps.
Some seem to think that all you have to do is fire the right side and you got it. Do you think that? Or those who swear that it is left side game and you pull with the left side. Leaving the right side to just go along with whatever wants to happen.
One Australian pro teaches that you should push the club from the top of the swing directly into the back of the ball and that the body goes last.. not first. Does this make sense to you?
Before this little article is over I will reveal to you the one secret that hackers never know, the one secret that hackers never do and the one secret that every single professional golfer does on every single swing. Whether they know it or not.
Do not jump ahead. If you do, you will still have to come back here to see what was said. Why? it's because, as with all instruction, there are things that you absolutely MUST do in preparation for that magical move that will send you to the next level. So No Jumping Ahead!
Ever watch a golf match on tv? If you are a golfer I am sure that you watched Tiger Woods swing the club during a replay of his stunning golf swing. This is not something you or I can repeat. So let's just forget about that right now. But...That said, there is one thing that he does that all pros do. It is revealed to you during every replay. You can see exactly what the secret that no one wants to talk about is. It is shown on national television every weekend during golf season. Over and over and over. Everytime a replay is shown, you have been given a lesson of a lifetime, free. A free lesson!
The trouble is that most all of you have no idea what you are looking for. And so this fantastic lesson, this free lesson from the best player in the whole world is wasted. Oh My!
Never fear, next weekend they play again. Next weekend you will have another free lesson. Maybe you will have dozens of lessons.
Ok..... are you ready to make preparations for the BIG secret?
Take my grip. Not your grip,my grip.. my grip is where your left hand on more on top of the club, not on the side and never under it. You should see 2 1/2 knuckles. Do it now. Left hand only.
Now the righthand grip. More on top also. With a slight pressure on the index finger pushing. That is what I said, PUSHING. Do it now.
Your right wrist should be bent back slightly. If it's not,you have the wrong grip. Right wrist bent?
Now swing the club back about 1/2 of your normal swing ( use a wedge or nine iron) and then..
HIT DOWN ON THE BALL ! This means that the hands and arms go from the back swing directly to the back of the ball. The right arm straightens out quickly, the right wrist attempts to stay bent as long as possible and you hit directly down on the ball. You take a divot. And you don't give weight shift a second thought.
You will not be able to do this at first. So to help you. Do this. Take the club back to waist high only and then thrust the club down directly at the ball. From the inside.
Just allow the clubhead to extend through to the outside of your target line. This is a drill not a full swing. You are looking for a swing path that is from the inside to out. while thrusting the clubhead DOWN at the ball with the straightening of the right arm.
It is a 100% down hit. Never up. And the right wrist wants to stay in the bent position as long as possible.
Is that the secret ? Yeap it sure is. Every single decent player in the world hits down on the ball, their arms and hands start the swing and the body responds to this movement. It has never been the other way around. Never.
