The Southern end of the Costa de la Luz has the famous courses of Valderrama and San Roque where many of Spain's tournaments have been played over the years and still are. However, there are many other courses near by and further up the coast and plans for more. Many of the new courses are built with hotel accommodation so that golfers can play, relax and enjoy there golfing getaway.
Many professionals and amateur teams come to this region for practice in the off season, in particular Sherry golf and Montecastillo, both inland courses with fantastic hotel accommodation and practice areas for all parts of the game.
As well as the inland courses there are links courses such as Costa Ballena where the hotels offers 27 holes, spa facilities, fantastic food and of course the Atlantic Ocean with its beautiful beaches.
The Costa de la Luz certainly has many different style courses to be enjoyed and it is a very quiet neighbor of the Algarve and Costa del Sol. Exploring the golf of the Costa de la Luz offers a great golfing holiday of many contrasts and is one enjoyed by society groups, couples and families.
