Making money from Affiliate Programs is more than just putting a link on your website and making money. If you don't learn the art and science behind it you may not make any money, because your competitors will completely eclipse you. Of course you need to choose a great affiliate program to market, but if you don't have traffic what good will it do you? Here are four traffic tips that are completely free and can bring phenomenal traffic when done in mass.

Article Marketing - If you can write an article of at least moderate quality containing at least moderately useful information then you can get at least 10 site views per week from each one, and that is an extremely conservative estimate. How much traffic an article brings is based on these three things: The demand of your niche (customers). The supply of your niche (too much competition). The quality of your article, it must get straight to the point and supply useful information, give the reader what they want. That is the main 3 things. So what you do is you submit each article you write to the most popular article directories (EzineArticles, Buzzle, SearchWarp, GoArticles). Each submission there will bring a minimum of 10 site visitors a week. So if you write 10 articles and submit to those four directories that will bring you a minimum of 1600 visitors a month. If you can convert 1% of those into buyers then that is 16 sales a month. If each sale is 10$ you have made 160$. These stats are all worst case scenario, and even so it is ONLY ten articles between 400 and 600 words each, so go out and write 50 articles and come back and talk to me!

Video Marketing - This is even easier. If you have a webcam your pretty much set. Same as above, just keep it at about 2-3 minutes and give ONLY useful information. It is the same factors as above, supply, demand, quality. At some point in the video you tell your URL and why they should go there. And also perhaps put the URL in the description box. Keyword research is very important for videos, same as it would be for articles and almost anything on the internet. The most popular place to do this is youtube, in my opinion it is the only place. Look at the videos on youtube, it is hard to find any moderately optimized video with less than 10'000 views. If your video goes viral it can bring hundreds of thousand or millions. Just look at John Reese's videos.

Social Networking - This is considered a "Web 2.0" option. Basically this is done through social bookmarking, which is placing your link on some of the social networking sites like Del.icio.us, Digg, or Technorati. This will form valuable backlinks because search engines love social networking sites and it will draw traffic directly. There is also a site called Squidoo which you can post articles on including your link, it is also very popular. Once you set these up it is basically set-it and forget-it.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) - This is the most effective way to get traffic to your site, by far. However it is also the most time consuming potentially. Having your site well optimized will drastically increase the amount of organic traffic you receive from search engines. Two major aspects of Search Engine Optimization are Keyword Research and Backlinking. If you are able to use SEO to reach the first page of the results for your even a couple of your chosen keywords, you may just be getting just over 100'000 views a month.

Mastery and application of all of these methods can result in an incredible surge of traffic and sales. Hopefully this overview helped you. If you want free detailed guides on each individual methods and how to become a wealthy affiliate, you can visit the site below.
