How To Stop Your Affiliate Links From Getting Hijacked

I was looking at one of my affiliate campaigns the other day and realised it had dropped to 5% conversion, and this had being going on for well over a week. I continued to monitor the campaign for a few more days,

It STAYED at under 5% conversion.

I could not understand why it was so low conversion. I decided to ask one of my online friends that established an Internet marketer, and he laughed and said, 'you do not use anything to hide your links do you?'

Unfortunately I was not, I really had no idea how to cloak my links, or why I should. After asking a bit more about it, I understood why you should always cloak your affiliate links - people and programs will change your affiliate link to their own and steal your commission! It is a form of spyware that does just that every time a user visits a product ClickBank (and other affiliate programs), it replaces the reference id with the creator of spyware.

It means I have basically been had off all my commissions to the thief. The worst part is that I lost a few days of the sale already, I wish I had known this before cloaking links. There are many ways to cloak links, but some broken cookies, while others redirect the amount.

If you are not positive of its turnover to be authentic and accurate, it is possible for someone to steal your commissions. This is especially true if you have recently noticed a drop in sales, or if the campaigns are performing well below expectations. It is not difficult to find a guide on how to hide link, but most do not consider affiliate marketing and can cause problems for cookies that have not paid commissions.

In addition to a link cloaking is not the definitive way to prevent others from hijacking your affiliate links. Fortunately, you can take the cloak your links in a few minutes, just find a good hiding. The problem certainly has not been available for programs - not programs that actually work and will be for sale. You can split test campaign, a thousand times and set up a major sales channels, but makes no difference if you use a good link cloaking software or service.
