Connect your Message to the Community and Convert more Souls

Gone are the days when families went to a local church just because it was close to home. People now have more options, more access and more information. Is your ministry equipped to cut through the clutter with a message that connects, convinces and converts souls? If not, why not? As a copywriter for Hobbs Ministries, I help ministries that have enormous potential, but simply aren't investing enough in the power of their message; and the results, are extremely damaging.

Having recently relocated from upstate New York, my husband and I found ourselves looking for a new church home best suited to our family's needs. We were in a precarious position because we were completely unfamiliar with the landscape. This meant searching online, as well as offline, to find ministries in our neighborhood. We couldn't believe that it was like looking for a needle in a haystack!

Many ministries didn't have websites and the ones that did, well….we often saw lots of flash animation, the pastor's personal photo shoot and a listing of products; but no real message to help us decide if that particular ministry was compatible with our needs. Many times, we had great difficulty separating the pastor's personal ministry from that of the church ministry in general. We could find the pastor's itinerary with no problem, but we couldn't find information about the ministries and outreaches in the church.

As you're reading this article, consider the message that God is communicating to you. It's time that you place the focus back on the message. If you remember nothing else from this article, remember this quote. "The medium should complement the message, but it can't compensate for lack of one."

Businesses are no longer the only entities that need a unique value proposition. With so many varying options, opinions and opportunities, you are challenged now, more than ever; to articulate the unique value and vision of your ministry.

Your ministry has the perfect solution to meet the spiritual needs of many families, but they will never know if you don't tell them.
