Land Rover is one of those well known and quite so popular brands when it comes to sport utility vehicles and luxury vehicles. And for this year, the brand is going to show off the newest and the best vehicles in its lot come the 2007 Geneva Auto Show. Sure it is going to be a blast having the Land Rover there for we would all be able to view and gape at the coolest vehicles that this brand has created.

One of the vehicles in the line up is the Land Rover Freelander 2 TD4 vehicle which comes using a diesel automatic engine. And it is going to mark the Geneva Auto Show as an important part of its history for this is the first time that it would be sent out to the public. Its engine parts have been made so as to keep up with lots of power for the vehicle comes equipped with a 2.2 liter 160 PS engine that comes with four cylinders and is all new. Plus, the vehicle comes equipped with a six speed automatic transmission system which is also used in the base model of the Land Rover Freelander 2.

How friendly is the new Land Rover Freelander 2 TD4 going to be on your pocket? Well, Land Rover says that this one has been created to have a fuel consumption of 33.2 miles per gallon which is quite good for a vehicle of its size and power. As per the automatic transmission system that this one holds, it comes featuring the CommandShift to allow easier changing of gears and could also allow the driver to shift to a sports mode if they choose to.

John Edwards is the managing director of the Land Rover's UK arm and he expresses, "Since sales of the diesel manual and i6 petrol model began in December 2006, demand for the Freelander 2 has been really encouraging. And it is already a multi-award winner, picking up the BBC Top Gear SUV of the Year and What Car? Best Compact 4x4 awards. A tremendous achievement." He even further adds, "Land Rover has a long tradition of allowing customers to order vehicles to suit their needs but this new programme allows the greatest degree of personalisation ever offered to Freelander customers"

Interested? This vehicle would be hitting the UK auto market come April of this year and would be coming with a price tag that says £22,305.
