Juicing is one of the healthiest things that you can do for your body. The liquid of the juice is actually a source of natural water that can do wonders to hydrate the body. Not only that but the juice will provide you with vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids and proteins carbohydrates necessary for your body to function. Fresh juice not only tastes good but it contains the key elements to good health including enzymes, flavonoids, chlorophyll and carotenes.

In order to get juicing right, you need to use fresh fruits and vegetables and preferably ones that are organic. You also want to choose your juicer carefully because some juicers that use centrifugal force can kill the enzymes and enzymes are very important as they are the components that help give your body energy. Enzymes are destroyed by heat and so this is also the reason why buying bottled juices that you find in the store is not a good way to juice - these juices are pasteurized in the pasteurization process kills the enzymes.

By juicing, you are getting the raw food goodness of the fruits and vegetables and therefore your body is enjoying the full amount of vitamins and minerals to help keep it running smoothly and help protect you from diseases like cancer. Well cooked foods are great, raw foods are better since cooking can cause foods to lose up to 97% of vitamins which are water-soluble (Vitamin K, E, D and A). Juices and other uncooked foods are actually more nourishing to the body and can help you feel more satisfied as well as keep your metabolism running more efficiently which can help in weight loss efforts.

Juicing is especially good for people who are ill as it enables your body to quickly absorb high-quality nutrition. Since the juices do not have a fiber in them, your body has to do very little work to extract the vitamins, minerals and enzymes and therefore all this great stuff gets into body faster. That being said, you will, of course want to combine your juicing with the appropriate fiber rich foods as fiber is also essential to your well-being.

You can choose literally any fruit or vegetable you'd like. Of course some produce more juice than others and the more watery they are, the more juice you will get out of it. Depending on your type of juice or it may not really be possible to choose some fruits like bananas or vegetables like beets.

Combining different fruits and vegetables will make for great tasting and interesting pranks. Here's one of my favorite combinations for juicing:

1/2 Pineapple
2 Stalks Celery

Refrigerate the pineapple and celery overnight. Cutup pineapple and the celery and run them both to the juicer alternating with some pineapple and then some celery. stirred up good and enjoy!
