Every worker has rights, just as every work has the right to be insured if injured on the job. In today's world, we call that workers compensation. Every individual who has a job should buy workers compensation insurance if they do not already have it.
However to keep the employees safe, most businesses have already bought workers compensation insurance. This insurance is to keep the employees like yourself safe in case something goes wrong while on the job. It is very easy for an employee to get injured on the job, so they need to be protected.
This insurance can either take the place of covering medical bills that you receive after getting hurt, pay for loss of wages if you had to miss work, or even that and more. For the businesses that try and get away without purchasing it for their employees, they can face a serious amount of money owed. Although every state has different rules and regulations, every state does mandate that all businesses small or large have workmen's compensation insurance.
Make sure you buy workmen's compensation insurance every time you start a new job to keep yourself safe and secure. Doing this will make sure no matter what happens, if you get injured on the job you are insured and get what you deserve.
