Killer Eggs?

I saw an article today that stated middle aged men who eat seven or more eggs a week are risking death. Seriously - I am not joking.. This same article went on to descibe how eating only six eggs per week was not associated with a death-risk. Thank God I only ate six this week instead of seven. Just that one extra egg presents a "23 percent greater risk of death". I'm so relieved.

I for one am glad that i can sleep soundly at night thanks to these great men of science knowing i won't break the egg barrier.

In all seriousness, these "researchers" are getting funding to conduct these studies. Maybe these funds would be better invested in the long term adverse effects of ridiculous studies.

This is another finding from the study: "Men who ate the most eggs also were older, fatter, and were more likely to drink alcohol, smoke and less likely to exercise - all factors that can affect the risk of heart attack and death." I think that pushing the six egg boundary is the least of these test subjects' worries..

Organic eggs are a wonder food. They contain calcium (Strong bones and teeth), iron (healthy blood), phosphorus, zinc (aids immune function), thiamin (neural function), vitamins B6 & B12, folate (aids red blood cell production) and pantothenic acid. In addition, the yolks contain the fat soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K, as well as essential fatty acids.
Even the long held belief that eggs will raise cholesterol to dangerous levels has been de-bunked, in fact when you eat foods that contain high amounts of cholesterol such as eggs, the body slows down it's internal production of cholesterol to even things out.

So my advice to you is if you like eggs (organic free-range is the key), don't let someone in a white lab coat who would probably argue that Aspartame is safe to use tell you that your seventh egg is going to kill you..

Now I have to go - I have an omelette to make:0)
