Mens cashmere scarf...are you looking for a great birthday gift to give your father? Well...what about this idea? Give one of the hottest trends in fashion this season...or any season for that matter…mens scarves! These accessories look great on everyone. For instance, your wife or girl friend gets to wear them both inside and outside of the home and in casual and formal settings. Men have ties they can wear inside office and casual settings but not scarves.

Here are some ways to do it and not do it when purchasing several for the men in your life... along with helpful examples to guide you in your scarf shopping on the internet.

You DO want to find some that pair well with their outerwear and innerwear. For example, don't try to match one of these against their shirts or two piece suits. Instead, try to match them against and with the clothes they'll be wearing. In most professional situations, the best bet would be to wear several main colors...i.e. black, dark grey, blue, etc. Match a light scarf with a dark colored coat and a dark scarf with a lighter colored coat.

DO get him more than one, and pair looser knits for dinner with friends and tighter knit weaves when he needs to look more professional and business like. You can even suggest that he simply exchange it while wearing the same overcoat. For example, a casual full length black leather jacket can look great with a loose-knit beige in relaxing settings and a silk blend of the same color... for professional settings!

DO NOT get one of these mens dress scarves with fringe as they can be distracting on a man's wardrobe. Instead, find choices that end straight across. For example, no fringe on a blue scarf pair with a black trench coat can look great for business outer garments.

YES, be sure to get shorter ones for professional wear and use longer for casual wear. Longer in these tend to look more casual and may compete with the viewer's eye against his outer garment. For example, avoid a long scarf when he wears a trench coat or a short scarf when he wears a light jacket. Don't get any with a lot of patterns if you are looking for professional wear look. They are okay for casual wear. For example, if the important one in your life has a chocolate brown suede coat, an orange and yellow striped cashmere scarf can look fashion great, even fantastic!

These serve both a functional and design purpose. He'll love getting one because it will look great and keep his neck warm this winter. You'll have a ball shopping for this item and you'll love it that he's looking very good. And, while you're out spending money on him, think about getting one in silk or argyle and in the colors of white or black. They're worn by quite a few "in the know" right now! He will love wearing it, and you'll love the way he looks! Remember, everyday is a good day for a mens cashmere scarf!
