Have you jumped on the podcasting bandwagon yet? If not, you really should consider it. This is especially true if you have a business or marketing yourself as an expert. The trend in podcasting is really starting to grow as more and more people are jumping on board and turning up the volume!
Statistics show that more and more people are getting their information via podcasting or portable audio. According to Apple, over 14 billion iPods, iPod nano and/or iPod shuffle have been sold in 2005 alone. It certainly appears that this "new fad" is not going quietly into that goodnight as some industry experts had predicted. So why are so many people enjoying the podcasting phenomenon?
It's quite simple... the ease of use for all different levels of users and platforms. Busy people can use podcasting to get their information on their schedule instead of having to tune into a particular program at a particular time. Businesses can use podcasting as a way of training employees, sales staff, etc on the employee's schedule rather than wasting time of the supervisors. Individuals can use it to express their points of view, educate the masses on a particular topic, or even highlight their expertise. The list of ways goes on and on..
