Scotland is a well-know and developed destination for tourism. 90% of tourists come from the close United Kingdom, the other 10% is divided between Americans, Germans, Frenchs and Canadians.
Scotland offers beatiful scenery with many places full of history. These include prehistoric stone circles, standing stones and various remains from Bronze Age, Iron Age and Stone Age. You can find also many historic castles, houses, ruins and museums. Beside history the most known places are the cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow, that offers a wide variety of events especially from April to October.

Scotland is well connected to the rest of United Kingdom by road, rail and air. Its international airports in Edinburgh and Glasgow are daily linked with many European cities such as Paris, Berlin, Rome, Barcelona and with North America (New York, Atlanta, Boston, Philadelphia, Toronto).

Edinburgh, the capital city, is considered one of the most beatiful cities in Europe. The Old and New Towns of the city constitute an UNESCO Site. Major attractions are: the Castle, the Palace of Holyroodhouse, Our Dynamic Earth and the Royal Mile.
Glasgow is the largest city and the second tourist destination after Edinburgh. There you can visit the Cathedral, the Science Centre and the Kelvingrove Museum. Glasgow is well known as sample of Victorian architecture and Gothic architecture.
Other areas which are popular for tourism include Aberdeen, Dundee, Perth the Highlands and the Hebrides.
