It is easier than ever to travel throughout Europe nowadays, with cheap flights available from regional airports in the UK. As a result, many new tourism destinations have risen to prominence, attracting visitors that would have otherwise missed out. Likewise, the availability of flights at such good rates means businesses are also taking advantage. East European outposts for international companies are now commonplace in many sectors, opening up new markets that were previously not accessible to them.

Here are five of the most popular and emerging destinations that are attracting more and more people every year.

FLIGHTS TO MAJORCA
One of the shortest journeys is the two and half hours flight to Majorca, which offers lively sun-kissed resorts like Alcudia, Cala d'Or, Palma Nova and Magaluf. With beautiful sandy beaches, bustling nightlife and fantastic harbour restaurants and cafes, its no wonder people make Majorca their holiday destination of choice year after year.

FLIGHTS TO BOURGAS
One country that has benefited hugely from being well connected to UK regional airports is Bulgaria. Bourgas is the second largest city and seaside resort along the misleadingly named Black Sea Coast. With its Art Gallery, the Burgas Regional Historical Museum, International Folklore Festival and Opera House, this is a cultural gem that offers great beauty.

FLIGHTS TO GDANSK
Poland's principal sea port and the capital of the Pomeranian Voivodeship is another cultural gem, with gorgeous historical buildings drawing in many tourists. The Church of the Holy Trinity, Town Hall, Golden Gate and the museum ship SS Soldek make it a particularly popular resort among curious travellers.

FLIGHTS TO POZNAN
This Polish city is a candidate for the 2016 European Capital of Culture, thanks largely to its broad range of attractions. These include the Old Town Square, the Parish Church, the 13th century Town Hall and an isle on the Warta River.

FLIGHTS TO MENORCA
Located in the warm Mediterranean Sea, as one of four popular Balearic Islands, Menorca has more than 50 beaches, 300 days of sunshine and many popular resorts. Particularly suited to families and older couples, Menorca offers everything you could want from a relaxing summer holiday.

Are you ready to see what Europe has to offer? If so, it may be worth browsing flights to Menorca or flights to Bourgas.
