Old School Versus New School Internet Marketing... Which Takes The Winner Circle?

Due to a sickness in the family, I took over two years off from my online marketing adventures and even packed up and moved. Yes, for two plus years I did not change a web site, send an email...

Checks were still deposited into my account each and every month!

We're talking over 6 figures annually!

When I went to the attorneys after my aunt passed away, mind you over two years later, and they heard how much I was still making month after month, they informed me that most Doctors in the area did not even come close to the income I was generating yet alone most of them.

This is an area where you would be lucky to find a three bedroom, two bath house on a small lot for under $300,000.00...

For the past several months I began getting familiar with the web again. I began updating sites, looking and purchasing a number of e-books...

The more I read the more I became frustrated.

For instance, today, everyone and their mother is an expert on making money with AdSense through the Google search engine.

Let me say something here before you waste a lot of time and money. I have blogs listed in search engines, with RSS feeds, have domain names that many folks type in every day... Don't waste a lot of your time unless you own a domain name like internetmarketing.com or some other highly searched phrase that people will type in.

Can you make money with AdSense?

Sure you can. I do, however limit your efforts here and concentrate on other areas which will be more fruitful for your success.

Another one that hit me was an e-book online which is a total of 60 plus pages that sells for $997.00. Give me a break, is this not the information highway?

For this kind of money for a sixty something page e-book you better make the money for me and make the deposits into my account every month!

There is a golden rule for sales, which is a balanced scale, something which I will focus on in an upcoming article. Go to http://MakeMoneyOn.com and sign up for my FREE news letter to receive more articles hot off the press!

I still use Google AdWords, not to be confused with Google AdSense, Yahoo and other pay per click advertising, however this can become very expensive and cut into profits.

I looked into and use blogging with good success.

Why?

This is a take off of the old school.

Let me explain so as you can adapt the areas to concentrate on.

The old school was and still is that search engines, like a shark, eat up text. In other words they like text rather than a fancy web site, which is relevant to what your site promotes.

Again, it must me relevant to your site. Do not write an article or blog on fishing if your site is an online flower shop. You will not do very well...

When you leave a link or links to your web site all heck can break loose as a flood of TARGETED traffic, blows your web stats program out of the water over time.

So how do you accomplish this simple task?

Easy...

First you need a domain and hosting solution as well as a product and or service to offer.

Getting started or even to add to your list of services you should consider something everyone wanting to start an online business will need. A domain name and web hosting.

I have setup a program for you, enabling you to do such, whether just needing to register a domain name or looking to offer some useful services to your visitors. Find out more details at http://OrderYourDomain.com/affiliates.

Next...

Search engines love relevant text.

Set up a blog on your URL which links back to your domain. Keep it relevant and keep updating it. Over time you will see your stats sore with targeted traffic.

Secondly, write articles that pertain to your web site. If you do not know what to write about, visit some online discussion forums that relate to your site. Browse through it to see what type of questions others are asking. Then write an article to answer the most sought after questions.

You then need to submit your articles to databases that not only take your submissions but also will assist in syndicating them. One of my favorites is http://IdeaMarketers.com. I recently submitted a couple and emailed Marnie
about a couple of questions and the response was superior. One thing to do on this site is bid for placement, even if it is one dollar.

No I do not make anything off your bids, but rather they will help promote you so as to syndicate your articles. The higher your bid the higher your placement on certain pages.

They also provide a great stats program to view how many others have viewed your articles as well as how many syndicated hits your articles have received.

So in short, the old school still wins hands down.

Good Luck in Your Online Adventures!
