Cycle Routes In Cornwall

I've lived in Cornwall for many years now and I still find it difficult to find decent cycle routes to use that give a bit of a challenge but aren't too challenging, I cover a few of the routes available below:

The Camel Trail
Probably the most widely used and well known cycle route in Cornwall spanning from Bodmin to Padstow stopping over in Wadebridge the Camel Trail is a 11 mile stretch of disused railway. Due to the fact it's a disused railway the trail is a relatively flat (albeit not tarmac) but jogging, cycling and even pushchair friendly!

Tehidy Country Park
The Tehidy Country Park offers over 3 miles of beautiful scenery with several different routes available to take, some a little more challenging than others but for each challenging route there are 3 easy routes so it's both family friendly with the added challenge for the adventurous folk!

The Mineral Tramway (Portreath to Devoran)
The Mineral Tramway, otherwise known as the Portreath to Devoran route has both challenging and easy routes along the full route which spans 11 miles including many hills is probably also the most fascinating cycle route in Cornwall. The route also offers a Café and stop approx. half way along the route.

Cycle Hire in Cornwall
Several locations offer cycle hire in Cornwall along our aforementioned routes:
* Bissoe Cycle Hire (Bissoe, The Mineral Tramway)
* Bridge Bike Hire (Wadebridge, The Camel Trail)

Unfortunately there are not any cycle hire locations covering the Tehidy Woods area, but with vast amounts of parking it's probably easier to take your own (or cycle there if you live close!).
