I was talking to a few online marketers about how you need to use off line strategies and direct marketing approaches, I was explaining the need to use offline methods to build a stable business!

And people were saying no, no, no it's too expensive, it's too difficult, its too outdated. All we need to use is technology. I said, if all you're doing is using search engines and videos to drive traffic to your website, your business is in a very risky position.

How is it risky, if its been working pretty good so far?  They asked. Well let me tell you a few stories.  One time Google changed some of the rules about what advertisers could do. This became known as the "Google slap." People who had businesses making hundreds of thousands of dollars a month basically went out of business overnight because of it. They decided to lay all their eggs in one basket, Google was the only way they had to drive people to their website.  Their ignorance is causing them to resent Google and they refuse to ever use Google again.  Sad to say but they are only hurting themselves by ignoring all the potential traffic Google could be sending their way.

Another person, who was good at articles, videos, and ranking high at search engine optimizations, had his business all over the internet and ranked really high in the search engines - usually in the number one position. One day he woke up to realize that his websites were not even listed on the major search engines.

The rules changed overnight and his business was instantly cut in half.  Well lets look at the bright side, at least half of his business still remains and he could get wise enough to begin implementing new off line strategies to keep going.

 Again, you want to diversify your methods to avoid economic or technology changes to ruin your business. By using multiple strategies you will have a business that you can count on, that your family can count on and that will produce long-term results.
