Working Without Needlework Kits

When I first started doing needlework, I would always buy everything separately. That is that I would first buy a pattern and then fabric. Then of courser, I would sometimes spend hour and even up to a day with my piece sitting around while I decided on colors and then bought them.

I Had Seen Needlework Kits Before

Of course I had seen the needlework kits in the stores that I shopped in but I had always presumed that I was saving money by shopping for everything that the needlework kits contained separately. After all, isn't that the way that so many other things in life work?

I Was Beginning a New Needlework Project

Then one day I was beginning a new project and was having some trouble deciding on the right colors to use. It was a floral scene that I was going to be doing and there are some needlework kits that featured similar scenes in the store I did my needlework shopping at.

My First Of Many Needlework Kits

So I took down one of the floral needlework kits that were on the shelf at the shop and opened it top see what colors that it had for the flowers in the needlework kit. Well after looking the needlework kit over for ideas for colors, I simply just decided to buy it and use it instead.

I wasn't Saving a Dime

In the end what I found after all those years of shopping for everything that I needed separately, was that I just wasn't saving a bit on money by not using a needlework kit. In short, after all was said and done, the needlework kit cost me the same amount of money (if not less) than if I had purchased all that I needed for a needlework project individually.
