Do you like to fish with live worms? If so, you probably get tired of carrying that bulky container of worms around with you, right? It can be a pain in the butt. And if you're anything like me, I will hike miles up and down a river, fishing the entire time. Crossing the river up to six times in a single fishing trip, and using a lot of worms in the process is not at all uncommon for me. I can easily use two containers of worms in a single fishing trip. This means I have to put 2 containers of worms in my fishing vest for the day. It can be hard to find room for these extra containers of worms. Not to mention the fact that worm containers are bulky and not very durable. Have you ever had an extra container of worms in your vest only to find out that it broke, and now there are worms all over the pocket of your fishing vest? That's a fun one!

This problem was solved by my fishing mentor, when he came up with a simple way to carry your fishing worms, that didn't involve the container! He used an old sock, and you can do the same thing. Simply cut the end of an old sock off (the toe end), and this makes a little "bag". Now pin this bag onto your fishing vest. You now have a little worm bag to carry your worms. Simply remove the worms from their container and place them in your new bag. This is much easier and more convenient than carrying a container around with you.

The only problem with the sock bag is that it's only big enough to hold one container of worms. You can go somewhere like JRWfishing and buy a cool looking bait bag that's big enough to carry two containers of worms, and size problem is eliminated. Before getting my cool bait bag, I used an old sock for years, so the choice is yours, either way works great. The bottom line is that you now know the best way to carry live worms. Now you can leave those stupid containers in your vehicle, rather than carrying them with you on your next fishing trip.
