Recent settlements of Medical Malpractice in Queens have been seeing large payouts. 1 million here 2 million there, but this shows no signs of progress. Medical Malpractice has always been an issue that been flying under the radar until recently in which the media has been heavily involved. People in Queens are tired of medical malpractice being committed over and over again. You would think that these large payouts are teaching doctors a lesson that it will cost them if they don't practice safe medicine, but it seems they are not getting the point. Medical malpractice in queens has seen one of the most amounts of medical malpractice cases in the area. Since its close proximity to the rest of the city, it is easy to travel in and out therefore allowing a large amount of medical treatments to be taken place in queens.

Since the recent freeze of medical malpractice insurance rates in Queens was applied, patients and insurance companies are concerned for what is going to happen in this upcoming year. Previously insurance companies have been able to award these large settlements because of the large rates they had been charging doctors, but this trend no longer stands. Insurance companies are going to fight much harder in litigation concerning medical malpractice in Queens. Now that insurance rates for medical malpractice in Queens is down, a solution is trying to be reached. The whole reasoning for freezing insurance rates was to put all of these issues on hold so that a real solution could be reached in regards to the medical malpractice problem. In response to this freeze in rates, doctors are going to practice medicine much more carefully. However this type of method is going to increase the cost of healthcare as well as compromising patient's treatment plans. Doctors are going to do less invasive surgeries and refer patients to specialists so that they are not at risk for committing medical malpractice. Now that insurance rates are down they don't want to make any moves that would compromise this situation.

During this holding year, hopefully a true solution will be reached and medical malpractice will decrease as well. This is the optimal situation for all parties involved including doctors, patients, and the insurance companies. For doctors will no longer commit medical malpractice, which will not cause harm to their patients, and not cost insurance companies a ton of money in settlement payouts. It all comes down to doctors performing their jobs to the best of their abilities, meaning no mistakes. If this situation becomes real, medical malpractice in Queens will hopefully decrease and cause a real solution to be put into effect. However if it does not, the only way you can protect yourself is to hire a medical malpractice Queens attorney to help you to recover what was taken from you. In doing this you will also be able to get your story out in the public so that it does not happen to anyone else.
