Schulz Creative Associates, and Lee Mendelson Film Productions, has come to an agreement that will see the Peanuts on DVD distributed to the millions of adoring fans that have enjoyed the Peanuts gang for more than 50 years, starting as nothing but a tiny comic strip in a small, local newspaper. The agreement is an exclusive, multi year, worldwide home video distribution deal. The many memorable television specials that brought Charlie Brown and his many friends into the homes of fans around the globe now are available as the Peanuts on DVD. Digitally re mastered releases of classic holiday specials along with special bonus features, featurettes, and commentaries are what are included in these great Peanuts DVDs.
Charles Schulzs wife, Jeanne Schulz, had said that having Warner Home Video was a logical choice to help maintain the integrity of her late husbands work. Warner Home Video is known for their dedication to classic animation, and the choice to distribute the Peanuts on DVD is one that will preserve the posterity of the classic cartoons for many decades to come for many more generations. Warner Bros. Intended to reach audiences with separate releases of the Peanuts on DVD, grouping some together as holiday specials and releasing others as single release DVDs.
