The La Liga are in the crucial moment now. 2 strongest candidates, Madrid and Barcelona, will play for the title and their honor. Madrid will travel to Zaragoza while Barcelona will play Catalan Derby against Espanyol at home. Both team lie 1st and 2nd at the table with 72 points, but Madrid have better goals difference. This week's tie will be crucial because they both must win to secure the chance of winning the title. The last game at week 38 also crucial but we have to remember that Madrid and Barcelona will only play weak teams at week 38, so this week's games are the most crucial.
Madrid will face a strong challenge away from home since Zaragoza still need points to make it to UEFA Cup next season. 1 more win will secure Zaragoza at 5th place and 1 ticket to UEFA Cup next season. On the other hand, Madrid will play full team with nobody injured or suspended. David Beckham will also play and I believe he's going to be a key factor for Madrid. He is on the top form at the moment and if he can keep it that way, Zaragoza will have a nightmare.
Barcelona will host Espanyol without Ronaldinho who is suspended after receiving red card last week. This makes Barcelona can only rely on Samuel Eto'o and Lionel Messi up front with Javier Saviola or Andres Iniesta stepping in for Ronaldinho.
Well, I don't know who's going to be Spanish champion but Madrid are in top form right now and they are better in the term of handling pressure. 3 months ago, everybody mocked them and said that Madrid was over and couldn't be the title winner this season. But now, they are the strongest contender after showing great performance in recent games and strong character. This strong character is something Barcelona couldn't show recently.
