As a man, you acknowledge the one inevitable truth about women: can't live with them, can't live without them. Your buddies regularly point out that there is nothing wrong with having short affairs or summer flings. But deep in your heart, you know that the only reason you are still single is that you haven't found the right woman to marry. This is why you go alone on vacations. And this is why you pursue a skiing hobby. It provides an all-encompassing adrenaline rush as well as a mentally-stimulating logistical challenge.

For several hours a day, you can forget about the cares of the world and your mother's mantra: get a nice girl for a wife. What your mother does not know is that there are few nice girls left in the world. What you do know is that there are numerous ski trails that you haven't conquered. Thus, for this next winter vacation, you will be heading to Austria and spend a week in the ski resort known as the Zell am See. The Zell am See ski runs or pistes are part of the famous European Sport Region Ski Area. This is why there are over 40 Zell am See hotels, and more than half of them provide online booking.

Gorgeous skiing splendor set against the stunning Zeller See Lake

Zell am See is unlike other Austrian ski resorts because it faces a huge beautiful lake, the Zeller See. Its backdrop is the mountain with rugged slopes that invite all kinds of skiers. The tourists who are staying in Zell am See hotels will find that the majority of the mountain terrain caters to ski novices. But there are also individual pistes for more experienced skiers like you. There are also 60 snow cannons that will bolster the amount of snow.

You also chose the Zell am See because it is a peaceful charming town that does not suffer from traffic. The town is also an excellent starting point if you happen to be interested in visiting other mountain ski resorts such as the Kaprun, the Kitzsteinhorn, the Wagrain, the Bad Gastein-Bad Hofgastein, the Saalbach-Hinterglemm, the Obertauern, and the Schladming.

"Get a nice girl for a wife" you muttered under your breath as you checked into one of the Zell Am See hotels>. The woman beside you giggled. She is beautiful in an exotic kind of way and she is clearly another tourist in Zell am See ski resort. Then you realized that you muttered your mother's mantra out loud. She heard it and you could feel the blood rush to your face. She smiled, wished you good luck, and turned away.

You ran after her, dragging noisily your duffel bag of ski gear. "Wait please. Would you believe me if I tell you that I am an actor and I was just memorizing a line for my upcoming role in a movie?"

She tilted her head to one side and considered your excuse. Then she smiled and said, "No."

You half expected that. But, like the black runs you've surveyed earlier, you were relentless, "Are you also here to ski? Would you have dinner with me? Can I at least escort you to your room? May I know your name?" She stopped walking and you were happy that she gave you a chance. You ended up at Giuseppe's, a restaurant that serves sumptuous Italian cuisines.

The magnificent history of Zell am See

Her major reason for being at Zell am See is not to ski, but to study the history and culture of the small town. It was first populated by the citizens of the Roman Empire. It was named "Cella in Bisonzio" by the Archbishop Johannes of Salzburg in 740 AD. And this is why the town's center echoes the medieval times. And yes, she intends to enjoy this Austrian ski resort. There is snowboarding, sleigh riding, ice skating, and tobogganing. She might also learn to ski a little while she's here. She plans to enroll in one of the Zell am See ski schools, but you can be her teacher, of course. OBS company (Slovenia) is currently working on Zell Am See area hotels project. It represents ski resorts and hotels in Zell Am See Austria.
