Do you feel stuck on the treadmill of life? Are your days less than exciting and lacking fulfillment? Do you regret mistakes you've made at work and with friends and family members? Do you wish you could go back in time and do things over?

Then it's likely you'll be very interested in learning what I call "The Groundhog Day Technique." Part of this method, I learned from the book, Awakened Imagination, by Neville Goddard and the other part, from the great movie "Groundhog Day," with Bill Murray and Andie MacDowell. I've used this method and have achieved sensational results for years. I'm sure it will uplift and improve your life as it has mine.

Awakened Imagination has a powerful chapter that allows you to recreate a bad day and make it good. But there's much more to it than that. By closing my eyes and viewing the day, the way I want it to be, I am, in a way, recreating my reality. Every time you wake up it's really just like being in the movie Groundhog Day. Each day you can improve yourself and therefore create a magnificent life.

The main character in "Groundhog Day," is Bill Murray (who plays the egotistical weatherman Phil Conners). He constantly relives a snowy Groundhog Day, February 2nd in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. For most of the film, this is the last place he wants to spend any time in. This is the town in the United States where if the groundhog sees his shadow, we are supposed to have six more miserable weeks of winter.

Every morning Phil Conners wakes up at 6am to the same old song and voices on the radio, and he experiences Groundhog Day again. Every day is exactly the same. Things only change if he takes different actions. Phil is the only person who remembers what happened in the past Groundhog Day's he experienced. For everyone else, it's like a normal day, and they don't remember the past versions of the day.

Groundhog Day is one of my absolute favorite movies. Phil goes through many different experiences and transformations in character. He realizes he doesn't have to suffer any consequences because the next day he gets to start all over again. This is a spiritual analogy of life. When you live in the present moment, each day and each moment is all that matters. Any mistakes you made in the past cannot affect you.

Therefore, Phil pigs out with all sorts of food and pastries. He finds out personal details about a woman so he can convince her they went to the same high school. This enables him to trick her and he ends up going to bed with her. On other days, he breaks the law and he ends up in jail, but in the morning, he wakes up in the hotel and its Groundhog Day, all over again.

Later on after he can't take the misery of this existence he kills himself. He does it many times but the next day he wakes up in the same bed and it's Groundhog Day again.

After probably thousands of days being repeated, he starts turning himself into a better man. He starts to save people he knows will have problems, he takes piano lessons, learnes the names of all the people in the town and gets to know just about everyone. He soon becomes the most popular man in town and they've only known him for one day.

Eventually he gets his girl, but only when he's given up on manipulation and trickery and instead is just doing good deeds, all day long and being himself. This time she ends up loving him with no resistance whatsoever because of the man he became. Previously he tried to seduce her by knowing all her interests like French Poetry, her favorite drink and her Rocky Road ice cream but she intuitively felt something was wrong.

It is an inspiring movie and even has several funny moments in it. But I don't understand why people call it a comedy. It's actually a deeply inspiring and uplifting spiritual story.

** Your Own Groundhog Day Repeated **

In actuality, we have our own Groundhog Days every time we wake up. We can live our lives and get the most out of each day or be like Bill Murray was at first; very negative, egotistical and self-hating. Each day is a wonderful chance to improve the previous day. And we can even correct painful emotional problems from the past.

** How To Use The Groundhog Day Technique In Your Life **

Before going to bed at night, just visualize your day the way you would have liked it to have gone. Do you wish you didn't start an argument with your spouse? Do you wish you had completed a project instead of watching TV for 5 hours. Just look over your day and see the day the way you wish it should have gone. Make the new day a reality in your imagination. Even if you got bad news like a relative being sick, replay it in your imagination in a positive light. Recreate your day and therefore, recreate your reality.

Even if bad things happen, you can take away the sting by visualizing a positive result. Say you had an argument with a coworker at work. You can visualize the incident, as being positive and uplifting instead. The awesome part of this is that your visualization will influence the other person on a subconscious level. I've proven this fact to myself at least 100 times. We are all spiritually interconnected. If you flow positive vibrations, then only good things will come to you. Don't react to circumstances -- can create them.

If you visualize negative things, then negative things will come back to you. Your thoughts and emotions are extremely powerful -- you must be careful with them. Observe how you speak to yourself, notice the inner dialogue in your mind. What you say will come about in some form in your life. It may simply materialize in narrow thinking and therefore narrow results.

Here's the second part of this technique: Start your day by visualizing how you would like it to go. You can visualize things you expect to do and see yourself doing it efficiently. You can also imagine making new friends or having a magical day of adventure. You'll have a much better chance of attracting abundance into your life if you expect and preprogram abundance with your expectations. You can even repeat to yourself that you are going to have a magical day. Try it, it really works. Trust me on this.

Try Saying This Now: "I'm going to have an exhilerating and magical day."

My life is just awesome when I remember to use the Groundhog Day Technique. I get so much more accomplished. My day is infused with adventure and fulfillment.

Imagining is equivalent to programming a computer, except you program your own mind. It's a super way to make you more productive, even if you have some initial resistance or bad habits.

In the morning, I just read a page or two of a spiritually uplifting book and then I do my visualization for 10 minutes. At night, I do another visualization as I go to bed and relive my day the way I wish it would have gone. But as I improve, I find less need to change the day because I am happier with the way my days are going.

You can quite effectively shorten the technique even more by doing it at night in bed as you fall asleep. Then in the morning picture your day going the way you want it to go while you're still in bed. Even just 5 minutes per day, morning and night total, creates powerful results.

You can also revise past events that are still bothering you. They can even be from your childhood. If you have guilt or anger from a past experience, that anger is still affecting your life today. You have to forgive to be able to access your full creative and magnetic powers of attraction.

Anger and feelings of guilt, attract disharmony and negativity in your life. That is why it's important not to be argumentative. You magically attract into your life what you imagine and what you BELIEVE you are. Your current life is the result of your past magnetic point of attraction. Why not be an optimist? You'll find that you have a much more magical life when you do this.
