Look before you leap. Common idiom, but very well said. It relates to every thing we do. Not just buying and selling but in ever walk of our lives. All trade and business activities place a word of caution to buyers, sellers, importers, exporters, wholesalers, retailer and to all those who are networked by business and trading activities.

Buying and selling clothing, readymade garments, fabric, home textiles is complex, especially when you buy or import from outside sources.

One has to be careful while placing big quantity orders for clothing like Jeans, trousers, shorts, skirts, blouses, polo shirts, t/shirts and many more readymade garments made out of 100% cotton or blended fabric.

Buyers usually look towards buying these readymade garments, bed linens, home textiles, work wear, kitchen wear etc from Asian Textile markets. Asia has grown to become a hub for this activity where major players like China, Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Thailand etc are seen active in manufacturing and exporting textile good.

Importers, wholesalers and direct buyers look for manufacturers and exporters and prefer to buy or sell textile made-up directly. These traders and manufactures face many serious issues relating to quality and delivery.

Many sourcing services companies offer their services to the buyers and importers of readymade garments, promising to deliver quality services with on time deliveries.

But does the system work effectively for both, I mean, for the buyers and sellers. What happens in the fulfillment of contracts is a dilemma. How many of the sellers are committed in delivering competitively priced quality goods and how many buyers are pressurized with the so called good looking price cuts and price benefits.

B2B sites try to do good match making. They have become a means where buyers and sellers can interact and transact business.

But the importers of readymade garments like Jeans, trousers, shorts, pants, skirts, denim ware, polo shirts, t/shirts, home textiles, work wear, kitchen textiles, towels, bathrobes etc have to be very careful in terms of price and quality. Importers, wholesalers and buyers should know that the lowest or cheapest price does not guarantee quality. Should buyers compromise on quality to get the cheapest and the lowest prices? Should price be the only buying factor?

Buyers and importers of textiles and textile made ups should normally find and locate representatives or buying agents, who can look after their interests, get them the most competitively prices clothing, readymade garments, tee and polo shirts, home textile or work wear etc. These representative or buying agents also look after the quality of the goods being manufactured and get the goods shipped on time
