Author/Photographer Vicki Landes announces the opening of her new online photography gallery, called 'American War Memorial'. Including shots of the Lorraine Memorial in St. Avold, Sommepy World War I Memorial, St. Mihiel Cemetery, and Meuse-Argonne Memorial, Landes' gallery is not only meant to show her work but to create awareness of these sacred sites. Further, all profits she receives from this gallery - 100% - will be donated to the American War Memorial Commission for continued maintenance and upkeep of all American war memorials worldwide.

During a recent visit to four war memorials in France over the Veterans Day weekend, Landes was touched at the sheer magnitude of the cemetery grounds and number of graves, namely the number of unknown ones. Moved to tears, she wandered the grounds with her camera while her husband explained to their seven-year-old son what the 'ultimate sacrifice' meant. Although she wanted to display her photography of these beautifully humble locations, profiting from those veterans that died to protect American freedom was out of the question. An Image Kind gallery where all her profits are donated was the perfect solution.

Granddaughter to two veterans of the second World War and the wife of an active duty soldier, Landes published her first book, "Europe for the Senses - A Photographic Journal" earlier this year. This gallery is her second collection but the first completely for charity purposes; both are hosted by Image Kind. Prints are available in glossy, matte, art canvas and other finishes and viewers can also chose from an array of matting and framing options.
