Kerala a narrow strip of lush green land between Arabian Sea and Western Ghats, with mother nature showering her blessings making Kerala a heavenly abode. Kerala has abundance of grandeur spreading its charm to the place. Better known as Gods Own Country, the land has rich natural resource and tropical landscape crossed by several rivers and unending backwaters.

The culture and tradition are part of Kerala life with many colours to it, one can find Hindus, Muslims and Christian community living together adding the touch of their cultures in many form. The cultural heritage of Kerala is also visible from the various art forms here. Kerala has many dance form starting form Kathakali, a famous dance form of Kerala which originated some 300 years ago. Other include Mohiniyattom, Krishnanattom, Koodiyattam, Thiruvathirakali, Thullal, Oppana and many more. The martial art form of Kerala Kaliripayattu is also unique and impressive with its body movements and way of performance.

Kerala also boasts of some huge number of temples, mosques and churches spread along all sides, these scared places are of great importance to Kerala with its major contribution to the culture and traditions. Festivals here are special with celebrations all over, no matter its Vishu, Onam, Christmas or Eid all are celebrated with great fervor. The festivals have a traditional feel to it by the way its blend with Kerala and its life.

The people living here are hardworking and full of life, they usually speak Malayalam and called as Malayalees. The taste of Kerala is incomplete without the description of the food and its varieties found here. Starting with some rich sea food to a sumptuous traditional food served on a banana leaf with lots to munch.

It is also a land of coconut, spices, tea and coffee all grown here in abundance, rubber is also found here along the slopes. The journey on the backwaters provides all that exciting which one needs along the maze of rivers, lake and canals all amidst the green carpet of nature. Listen to the music of the waves and catch people performing their work on the farm land along the backwaters this is real Kerala bursting with energy. And hey don't get scared, if u spot any huge snake shaped boat, it's the traditional Snake boat another attraction of Kerala.

Kerala is not confined to this alone, much a lot is still to explore, starting from great places to the beaches, the house boats, harbors, tea gardens, forts, sanctuaries, villages and loads of such hot spots. Its not only a place to explore but also to rejuvenate yourself and get a feel of rebirth with its famous Ayurvedic treatments which makes the mind and body relax and charged.

This tourist paradise is thus mentioned as One of the 10 paradises of the World by National Geographic Travel for its incredible glory.
