A BIG SURPRISE is Coming for the Whole World

This is not a possibility declaration. This is a for-certain pronouncement: The entire world will stand in awe at the next event prophesied in the Bible. Bible teachers and preachers have been declaring the message for decades, even centuries. Jesus Christ is going to come back for His Church suddenly and unexpectedly, even as a "thief in the night." And the entire population of earth will be awe-struck.

We can virtually guarantee when this prophesied event takes place, the world will be in awe and wonder. Why? Because millions of believers in the Christ of the Bible will be suddenly caught away into heaven, "in the twinkling of an eye" (I Cor.15:52). The redeemed people of God will rise up "to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord." And God's people are to "comfort one another with these words" (I Thess. 4:15-18).

Now, consider some of the ramifications of this predicted, this promised "rapture" of the blood-bought bride of Christ. Imagine the complete astonishment that will overtake those who are left behind, shen it is discovered that millions of people, all over the world have suddenly disappeared; disappeared from farms, airplanes in flight, automobiles on expressways, highways and country roads; from speeding trains. Workers will vanish from sight from every kind of work place one can imagine. Tall office buildings in major cities; from schools and universities, from government buildings and factories and from every type of location where Christians happen to be at the time.

It is virtually impossible to even consider all the individual and group calamities that will take place, when pilots vanish from the cockpits of passenger planes and passengers are gone as well. Trucks and cars on roadways where drivers suddenly vanish from the drivers seat. Bus drivers carrying riders and engineers are suddenly caught away. One can hardly imagine the calamities and catastrophes that will transpire. Hundreds of thousands of people will no doubt die; hospitals will be over whelmed. There will not be a sufficient number of first responders to handle tshe incredible aftermath of this coming event.

God's people are watching and waiting and longing for this predicted and much-heralded event to take place. This is the true Christian believer's "blessed hope." But the unbelieving world will be taken by surprise. Multitudes have heard about the promised coming of Christ in the clouds to take His born-again children away. Many have scoffed at the very idea. Others have simply shrugged it away. Suddenly and with no warning, they are now confronted with the reality of the event. You can be sure chaos and confusion will reign. The world will be stunned. Headlines will scream on the front pages of newspapers, magazines, and TV news programs. Yes an incredible surprise is coming that will stun and startle the whole world.

Jesus warned: "Be ye also ready, for in such an hour as you think not the Son of Man is coming."
