---------- We will discuss the two procedures below and endeavour to share with you the best process to use. DVD Replication and DVD Duplication are the two procedures you have available to you when copying your valuable data. Here are the important differences. DVD Duplication: This is the process that most of us are familiar with. Its more widely known as burning. This whole process can be done with a home computer and a DVD writer drive. Its fairly inexpensive and you can get blank disks that can be burnt either as record once or record write. Record write enables you to burn to the same disk as many times as you like. Its best for small runs of 500 or less disks. You can get dedicated duplicating machines that have many drives and a robotic arm to swap the disks as they are burnt. This means you can leave the whole process running unattended. DVD Replication: A glass master is made, then a set of molds or stampers are made from the master. The stampers are then mounted into an injection-mold machine, where a replica of the mold is created. The disc is then coated with a layer of aluminium that is very thin and reflective. Finally a protective lacquer is spun onto the disc and hardened using ultraviolet light. Its typically considered for runs larger than 1000. Generally there is a small set up cost associated with making the glass master. However once the glass master is made, the whole process is very quick and large amounts of DVD or CD disks can be produced quickly.

---------- Outsource your CD DVD project to a reputable replication company. Earth First is an established CD DVD Mini replication company that has proven itself reliable and cost effective in CD and DVD replication many times over.
