A masseuse is the person who is going to be giving you a massage. This is the female version of the word. The male form of the word is a masseur. They both have the same meaning. However when you want a woman to give you a massage, ask for a masseuse. These are the people that can make our lives much easier and can take a lot of the stress away with the way that they work their hands on our bodies. Many of these people are licensed and have gone to school in order to be able to practice their various techniques and skills on us. (That's what you want to look for, too!) To many people they are life savers who give them the relief that's needed to be functional and happy again. These people have a lot of practice. Because of their talents, they can transform the quality of your life back into something that isn't just about the aches and pains that you have

Different massage therapists tend to have different specialties. Depending on the type of massage that you are looking for will depend on the type of masseuse that you will go to. The predominant type of massage is that of the Swedish massage which is used to provide relief to muscle aches and stress by forcing the impurities out of your system. There is also the sports massage which is used primarily by athletes to get them ready for an intense workout or game and to provide relief following a game or match. Many athletes will receive a massage both before and after an event to aid in recovery and to better prepare them for the contest.

Then there is the deep tissue massage which is a massage that will get into the deep muscle aches and pains that you have in order to relieve that deep tension and pain that is buried in your muscle groups. There are also massages that are designed primarily to benefit the head only, as well as massages that are done solely to help improve ones posture. Many of these can be done by the same masseur, however in some cases the masseur my have only mastered one technique and will only be able to provide you with the relief for a specific issue. Look into this and do some researches before settling on one specific place or person before you make a final decision on who you will work with.

Make sure when looking into picking a masseuse that you pick someone who has the ability to fill your needs and it is someone that you feel comfortable with. Not all of them are the same. Ask questions about where they went to school and what they can and cannot do. Find out their background and look into who they have worked with in the past. See what you can learn before you go so that you can trust them with your money and stress relief. Remember it is you who you are looking to please and relieve stress from so make the right choice.
