Memorial park benches commemorate the life of an individual. This individual can be anyone that a community esteems as having been iconic of virtue, heroism, sacrifice, faith, or astounding success. The reasons for commemorating people are as many and varied as the people themselves.

The common thread is life itself and life achievement. There is a mixture of celebration and sadness to these monuments, just like there is a mixture of melancholy and joy always present in the minds of the living.

As indicated by the name, we invariably find these commemorative seats in public parks. Either the park itself is named after a notable individual in the city's history, or the park was founded by one or more notable individuals within the community.

Schools use memorials to commemorate the lives of teachers and students. Teachers who spent their entire lives in the teaching career and influenced the lives of hundreds of people are honored for their commitment to excellence, perseverance, and knowledge.

Young people that die suddenly, and sometimes violently, are honored for many reasons. The trauma of a student death can shatter the mass consciousness of the entire student body and affect the performance of educators as well. Memorials to honor the individual are not only a sentimental gesture; they are a psychological tool of healing.

Memorial park benches play a similar role in commemorating the lives of young people in churches. People of any age are vulnerable to a crisis of faith when someone who appears to be the most virtuous of persons is suddenly gone from the world for no apparent reason.

A reminder of the impact that the person had- and still has- upon a community of faith provides an existential tangible that says that the person's life was a reason unto itself and requires no statement of dogma to validate its worth.

Other institutions also use commemorative seating to honor founders and achievers. Many of these individuals are long gone from this world, but their legacy is so powerful that its momentum continues to drive the organization.

A memorial park bench will serve as a reminder to new employees that regardless of societal changes and corporate evolution, the basic principles of the founding directors are still the core value system of the company itself.

Politicians experience a curious resurrection in popularity after their terms of office are finished and their lives are complete. Many people look back at a leader who was highly criticized during his or her lifetime and realize after the fact that true greatest was at work all along.

It is both customary and appropriate to honor these leaders in public areas around the very government buildings where they gave some of the best years of their lives in service to some of their worst critics.

Memorial park benches come in perforated roll formed design, six foot roll formed design, and eight foot roll form design. A custom engraved plaque comes with the bench that can include logos, religious symbols, school symbols, and an engraved message.
