The "Wedge"© introduces a new level of comfort and playability without compromising the high level of sound expected from ellis guitars. The concept relies upon ergonomically re-shaping the instruments to better fit the human body. Many musicians have endured pinched nerves, aching necks, sore arms and shoulders over the years. The "Wedge"© significantly reduces strain and tension providing comfort and playability. Head Luthier at Ellis Gutiars, Andrew Ellis has received permission from Linda Manzer (the original creator) to incorporate The WEDGE © into his designs.

The wedge can be customized into any guitar model made by Ellis Guitars, from the 00, 000, OM, Dreadnought, Jumbo and any other steels string wood body from the custom shop.

What are some of the benefits of The Wedge?
- This ergonomic design tilts the fingerboard upward. You don't have to lean forward to see what you are doing. This reduces strain on your neck, shoulders and upper and lower back.

- The wedge also allows you to keep your strumming arm closer into your body, which also reduces strain and discomfort.

- Overall, the wedge contour allows you to sit more upright when playing, improving posture and reducing hunching and back pain.
