If Love is Blind Why is Lingerie So Popular?
As I work for an online lingerie boutique and it was my day off you would think the last place you would find me would be in amongst the knickers and bras. Married to my job I think!
Anyway, I digress… The reason I am writing this is because of a snippet of overheard conversation I caught while I was eyeing a pretty lace panty set, which went like this…
Man to shop assistant: "I'm not really sure what I am doing here…"
Shop assistant to man: "I can tell, sir. But don't worry…"
I smiled. Over 80% of our customers are men and they do know what they are doing when they are on our site… they are buying lingerie, sexy, top-quality, lingerie that their woman will love wearing. Needless to say they will also love seeing their woman in feminine and flimsy underwear, so every one is a winner and that's why lingerie is such a popular gift. Both parties get a present!
Online sales across a wide range of products are set to grow again this Christmas season and with good reason. You avoid the crush of harassed Christmas shoppers, easily compare products without getting sore feet tramping from shop to shop and if you are a man you can buy the cheekiest underwear without any embarrassment because no one can see you.
Now what about that poor embarrassed man. Top marks to him for being brave enough to try buying lingerie face to face with the assistant, but how much easier to do it on line where he could browse and choose in privacy. You don't have to be too shy to buy on line.
For one mad moment I did consider sidling up to him and saying he could save himself a lot of embarrassment by visiting our site but I controlled myself and wandered on to the knitwear department to buy something a bit more substantial for my own partner.
