This is a radical diet based on the principle of consuming cabbage soup for about seven days.
How Does It Work?
The first thing that you will need to understand very clearly about cabbage soup diet is it is a short term program for weight loss. It is not essentially a long term measure because you cannot go on having this soup for long. It is a 7 days program that will help you lose weight fast. In fact you can lose up to 10 pounds in a week. This diet works on the principle of low calories as it keeps your daily intake of fat and calories extremely low. You can have as much soup as you want without having to worry about weight gain.
The 7 Days Plan
Day 1 - on the first day of cabbage soup diet you can have cabbage soup and all kinds of fruits with the exception of bananas. You can drink water, unsweetened tea and cranberry juices.
Day 2 - on the second day you will need to have all the cabbage soup that you want along with the veggies. Green leafy vegetables are the best bet- you can also have them raw or cooked. For dinner have a jacket potato with butter.
Day 3 - on the third day have the soup, vegetables and fruits. However stay away from bananas. Also you cannot eat the jacket potato.
Day 4 - day four is the day to lessen you sweet desire. Along with your the soup, have 8 bananas and as much skimmed milk as you can.
Day 5 - Have one helping of the soup along with six fresh tomatoes and about twenty ounces of beef. If you do not like beef you can go for chicken but skin-on chicken is an absolute no no. However do not have beef and chicken together. On the fifth day of this diet you will need to drink at least eight glasses of water. This will flush out the uric acid that has accumulated in your body.
Day 6 - on the sixth day of cabbage Soup diet you can eat as much vegetables and beef as you want to. In fact you can also relish two to three beef steaks with cooked vegetables. However remember to have the soup at least once. Stay away from baked potatoes.
Day 7 - on the last day of your diet have a lot of brown rice and vegetables. Make sure you have at least one helping of the soup. You can also have unsweetened fruit juices if you want to.
