If you want to create a better life, you will have to do things that you are currently not doing. Many of these things will be first time experiences and may have certain amounts of risk involved.

Some of these risks could be things like starting your own business, stepping out of your comfort zone, dropping down guards in your life, etc. Not everything that you set out to do will succeed the first time you try. That's why it's so important not to dwell on failures or mistakes that you will make.

You may be afraid to pursue a better life because of past hurts or failures. While these things can be devastating at times, you can't let them stop you from living a better life. If you are wondering if you will make mistakes in the future, let me answer that question, yes, you will!!

Don't be afraid of past or future failures. Some of the greatest things that have been done is this world are a result of failures. Thomas Edison says this, "Just because something doesn't do what you planned it to do in the first place doesn't mean it's useless.... If I find 10,000 ways something won't work, I haven't failed. I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is often a step forward...."

In other words, don't dwell on failure. If you are constantly looking in the past you will never be able to see the future.

You should always try to minimize your risks by planning ahead and doing your due diligence. However, don't stop yourself from moving ahead in life because you are over analyzing everything. You won't always know if what you are doing will work. That's why it's called taking a risk.

A prime example of someone who was determined to live his best life no matter what is a person by the name of Warren MacDonald. Warren had to have both of his legs amputated above the knee when a 2,000-pound bolder fell on his legs in a hiking accident. Most people would have been very understanding if he had chosen to never do anything adventurous again in his lifetime. Some would have even understood if he became depressed and lived out the rest of his life living within the safety of his home and never doing anything of real importance.

Warren never let such things even enter his mind. As a matter of fact, 10 months after his accident, he became the first double above knee amputee to climb Africa's tallest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro!

To have a better life, don't be afraid to take some risks. Don't let past failures or the fear of future failures stop you from living the best life that you can possibly live.
